Florex 2016 — the Florida State Stamp Show and the final World Series of Philately show of 2016 — will be Friday through Sunday, December 2–4, in Orlando.
The show, which bills itself as the largest WSP show in the Southeast, will be held at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, state Route 50 (Commercial Exhibit Hall 4603 West Colonial Drive), 3½ miles west of downtown Orlando.
Parking and admission to the show are free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The show will feature about 45 dealers from all over North America, occupying 63 booths, along with 184 frames of competitive exhibits, representing nearly 2,900 pages of material.
A special souvenir show cancel and cachet pays tribute to this year’s National Parks centennial. A U.S. Postal Service substation will be on hand, visitors will be eligible for door prizes, and youth activities are scheduled.
Meetings scheduled include the Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society, U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, Florida Postal History Society, German Philatelic Society Chapter 23, and the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors.
